The 21 films in the 8th Annual NY Cat Film Festival were carefully picked from 70 films submitted from 14 countries in addition to the United States – Australia, Canada, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Russian Federation, Taiwan, UAE, and Uzbekistan. Apparently, cats rule the world!
These chosen films make for a totally delightful experience for humans of all ages.

OH CATNADA! (Casper Flatman) (4 min)
What would a feline-centric country look like, with its very own flag and anthem?!
PAWS and PURPOSE (Kim Best) (8 min)
A documentary about a sanctuary that began saving goats but has become a loving final home for cats regardless of age or any issues.
CATS ON THINGS (Mary Matthews) (3 min)
A fun and funny animated description of the havoc cats cause in our homes — and why we love them anyway.
A HAND TO HOME (Shafeer Shamsudheen) (4 min)
The filmmaker from Dubai created this tale of a rescued kitten told from her perspective, manually created with Adobe Firefly support.

Three Croatian friends — who love cats and are animators — made hand-drawn illustrations colored digitally, telling the story of three cats who rise to the clouds to meet Bastet, the ancient Egyptian goddess of cats.

A narrative film in which a woman comes to suspect that her new boyfriend is more interested in her cat than in her.
OLD PAWS 4: The Black Cat Market (Pittsburgh Film Academy students) (4 min)
A cat café and a cat rescue team up to find loving homes for senior cats.
THE CAT HOUSE CHRONICLES (Jeanie Miller) (9 min)
