The Tennessee Williams Festival of St. Louis is proud to present a screening of Blue Jasmine (2013), written and directed by Woody Allen. This film is widely recognized as a modern, loose reimagining of Tennessee Williams’s classic 1947 play A Streetcar Named Desire. The film translates the core dynamic of Williams’s masterpiece from New Orleans to San Francisco, swapping post-war grit for a contemporary story shaped by high-society financial fraud.
